Land Pro LLC has been serving Illinois landowners since 2003 with commitment to impeccable ethics, professional service, and continuing education. In 2025, Land Pro LLC was acquired and merged with Peoples Company. The original team members continue to serve Illinois landowners with the same commitment to excellence under the Peoples Company brand.
Instead of retiring after 40 years in the agricultural property field, Ray Brownfield, ALC AFM, organized Land Pro LLC in the State of Illinois on February 21, 2003. The firm opened its doors offering farm management, land investing, and land consulting services to Midwestern landowners.
Ray holds the Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) designation from the REALTORS® Land Institute and the Accredited Farm Manager (AFM) designation from the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. These are credentials earned by a small fraction of land professionals nationwide.
As of January 1, 2025, Land Pro LLC was acquired by Peoples Company, a recognized national leader in integrated land management, brokerage, appraisal, and energy solutions. Joining Peoples Company allows team members and clients to leverage industry leading technology, expertise, and capital markets resources.

Land Pro LLC was organized in the State of Illinois on February 21, 2003, after founder Ray Brownfield, ALC AFM, chose to keep working rather than retire from a 40-year career in agricultural property services. What began as a farm management, land investing, and land consulting practice grew steadily over the following decade.
Early in 2013, Land Pro LLC became a full-service land real estate company, opening its office in Oswego, Illinois. Real estate brokerage services moved in-house, the farm management business expanded, and in 2014, as interest in land auctions began to climb, Land Pro LLC added auction services to round out the offering.
In 2025, Land Pro LLC merged with Peoples Company and now provides expanded services to clients and leverages Peoples Company’s national platform.

In 2016, Land Pro LLC held its first Fall Seminar in Morris, Illinois. Now a yearly tradition on the afternoon of the first Wednesday in September, the seminar brings landowners and ag professionals together over a light lunch followed by speaker presentations.
Past topics have covered local and global agricultural economics, Illinois farmland values and lease trends, the impact of weather on agriculture, developments in Brazilian agriculture, and estate and succession planning. The focus is on practical insights for the people who own and work the land.
Land Pro LLC's roots are in Illinois farmland and in long-standing service to the landowners who own it. Now part of Peoples Company, Land Pro LLC clients benefit from a broader national platform while continuing to work with the same team that knows this region and the people who farm it.
